Q1. What or who inspired you to work in investing?
I have always been attracted to financial services by the fast pace and sometimes electric environment and the bright and interesting people you can work with.
Q2. What do you think the future looks like for women in investing? What would you like to see?
Women in investing have made some progress in the last 20 or so years but significant inequalities in our industry still exist. I would like to see equality across our whole industry but in particular I would like to see at least 50% of all leadership roles and board positions being occupied by women.
Q3. What is your attitude to investment risk?
All investments involve some degree of risk but there is a big difference between calculated and well managed risk and being reckless. So, I’m comfortable with well-considered risk at a variety of levels – or maybe I should just say making an informed decision!
Q4. If you had a superpower, what would it be?
I think I already have one – I’m female and I’m a working mum in a global leadership role. That’s a lot of juggling!
Q5. Tell us your motto or if you don’t live by one, why not?
Be bold and seize every opportunity you get.
