Q1. What or who inspired you to work in investing?

The opportunity to make a difference and to be part of the changes that need to take place in the financial sector and beyond. The investing community needs to become more diverse to understand and meet the needs of a diverse society. It needs to make its crucial contribution to tackle the environmental crisis the world is facing – in that respect we have started to see some encouraging developments.

Q2. What do you think the future looks like for women in investing?

What would you like to see?Women in investing are still a minority. It will take time to build an environment that is truly inclusive and diverse, but I’m optimistic that is where the sector and society at large are heading.

Q3. What is your attitude to investment risk?

Analytical. I consider different scenarios and the implications of new information on their probabilities. I try to be data- rather than opinion-driven, open-minded, and nimble.

Q4. If you had a superpower, what would it be?

Resilience, focusing on the goals rather than on the struggles to get there.

Q5. Tell us your motto or if you don’t live by one, why not?

Having lived in the UK for more than 15 years, I have adopted and adapted the all-present ‘keep calm and carry on’ motto. I can’t quite say I can always keep calm, but the ‘carry on’ bit resonates with my determined and resilient self.
