Q1. What or who inspired you to work in investing?

Growing up in London in the 2000s, this is all everyone around me worked towards. My bias towards mathematics also played a role in wanting to work in this space. The reason I have stayed in this industry is credit to all the great men and women I have worked for and worked with along the way.

Q2. What do you think the future looks like for women in investing?

What would you like to see? It’s an exciting time for everyone in the industry as we start thinking more holistically about our investments as we push the industry to be more responsible; pricing in externalities (both positive and negative) and enforcing accountability. What we need is to enable more diversity in thought and equity for all; not just in the form of policies but in practice.

Q3. What is your attitude to investment risk?

We should be targeting risk adjusted returns over the long-term. Investing over the long-term, in my opinion, is the only way to create sustainable wealth. Considering both the impact on the investment and the impact the investment has on the environment and the wider society.

Q4. If you had a superpower, what would it be?

Ability to create more time. More time to do the things we love and spend it with the people we love.

Q5. Tell us your motto or if you don’t live by one, why not?

Question everything, learn something, answer nothing.
